Despite two chances to convert heat advancements into medals Cory Arrambide and Courtney Conlogue couldn’t pull it off both finishing third in their last chance repercharge heats after losing earlier in the day in the winners bracket. Both went to the last day without a loss an achievement in itself but not enough to get a medal. 
The US chances in Under 16 competition on day five ended when Kolohe Andino and Dillon Perillo went down in the losers round to be eliminated. 
Day 4 at the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Championships got started on a high when Cory Arrambide lit up the first US heat of the day after having been bed ridden for two days with a strong fever. 
It took fourteen year old Courtney Conologue to post a convincing victory in the last heat for the USA of the day to bring some cheers from the US squad on a day when there wasn't many moments to cheer about. 
It’s the first look at the Girl’s Under 18 division at the main tower bank where conditions were holding up with clean 3-5’ conditions allowing the girls to show how far women’s surfing has come in this decade from all corners of the world. 
A mixed bag of 'grommets', from all corners of the globe, enjoyed Easter at Bells Beach this year, onsite at the Rip Curl Pro Surf & Music Festival to compete the International Finals of the global Rip Curl GromSearch series. 
Only in Brasil would the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Championships open with dancing girls in G-strings, conga lines and pounding drums and the semblance of an international mosh-pit with rhythm in the downtown beach park in Maresias. 
The National Surf League, known for the surfing X Games and California Cup launched their High School Cup on Friday April 21st with an unparalleled amount of support from the community and professional surfers. 
Surf: 40-W oil glass, shoulder-high, wedging starbursts for the College heats and half the Explorer finals that morning, with the swell dropping steadily as the day wore on. Contestable throughout and surprisingly, First Peak’s the only game in town. 
The 2005/06 NSSA Interscholastic State Championships will be held March 10-12 at Church Beach, San Onofre.
