Fade To Black

Top International Surfers Descend on Manly Beach for Fade to Black

Hundreds of spectators descended on Manly Beach (Sydney, NSW) late yesterday to witness the ANON “FADE TO BLACK” tow-in aerial surf demonstration.

The event, which marked the Australian launch of ANON sunglasses saw international surfing talents Benji Weatherley, Dion Agius, Reef McIntosh and Betet Merta boost up a storm in fun 2-foot conditions. The entire surf team was on hand with a re-habbing Damien Hobgood commentating on the play by play action.

The dusk demonstration, the first of its kind seen in Manly, kicked off at 5pm and finished under lights with jet-skis providing the speed needed for a few fun airs. “The extra speed provided by the jet-skis gives you the chance to try new things and boost higher than you can normally go. To do it in front of such a solid crowd was awesome,” said ANON team rider Dion Agius.

To have the entire global team together for the Australian launch shows a true commitment to ANON’s presence in the Australian market,” said Greg Fernandez, Global Marketing Manager.

With the action in the water well and truly fading to black, the exclusive after party kicked off at Manly’s Shore Club. Special thanks go out to Boost Mobile for the provision of the jet-skis.
