North Shore Week in Review: 11.27-12.03
GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
In a slightly more voluntary form of “giving back to the community,” the Sunset Elementary “Surf Night” saw loads of top surfers, including Rory Parker, Timmy Reyes, Ian Walsh, Coco Ho, Jordy Smith and many others, on hand to sign autographs and give out product to stoke to the local groms and earn money for the school. “I remember going to surf night when I was a grom,” said North Shore resident Daniel Jones, “so it’s cool to be able to go and stoke out some groms; give back to the community a little.” Good work to everyone who participated in that one. Finally, the creepiest month of the year, “Mo’Vember”, is officially over. So, please, do the entire North Shore a favor and shave that funky lip fungus — it’s starting to look like a police convention over here. And nobody wants that. (Mason Ho, you’re excused — you may keep your ’stash.)
The swell is bombing, and it’s only getting bigger. Stay tuned…we’ve only just begun getting weird.
