Sunny Garcia's Last Days in Prison

What’s the plan on the outside?

I’ll be in Newport on house arrest for seven months. Curious how it’s going to work. I’m not even sure if I can surf. But the judge is super cool so he knows the whole deal. I just got all the paperwork, and they’re now taking me to civil court over the back taxes. It’s hard to squeeze blood from a rock, but whatever. I sweat blood. I truly want to get this behind me and I never ran from the beginning. After that, who knows? I’m definitely going to be looking for some sponsorship to go back on tour. Put some damage on some young kids. From what I’ve been hearing, it hasn’t changed. I know I could be a good addition to the tour. I also want to be successful in business. I want to help Da Hui get somewhere. Our foam company, Elova, is also moving to Oceanside, so that should be good.

Is it a relief to be done with this?

To tell you the truth, this has been more of a vacation. More of a time for myself. This isn’t prison. This is a boys home, hanging with the boys all day. I never felt like I was locked up. I don’t think they could ever make me feel locked up. I’ve got to do so many great things in my life, no prison walls can take that away. I’ll still be free in my mind.
