Coming back to America from France is always a shock. Life is faster, the food is bigger and no one shuts down for lunch breaks. Plus, I was having such a great time in Biarritz that I really wasn’t ready to leave. On the way back I had to stop over in New York for a photo shoot. NY is one of those places that I end up a lot. Especially since it’s somewhere between Biarritz and Hawaii. Well… kind of. I enjoy being in the city--catching up with friends and visiting my favorite little shops and restaurants. It’s a place where there is always something new. In a way it was good to be back, if at least to just have some Cuban food. I was getting tired of cheese and wine anyway. Can you believe?
