The NB Pro presented by Jeep is a history-rich event that for the past 18-years has brought together some of surfing's brightest stars. 
Last year, not all the best surfing went down in a heat. With a tropical system at sea and a top sandbar unloading within minutes of the contest site, competitors and ex-champs alike converged for three days straight to push their performance limits and produce some winning photos. 
Welcome to the 2005 Eastern Surfing Championships and congratulations - you are among an elite group of East Coast surfers who have worked hard all year to earn an invitation to this prestigious event. 
It was high performance surfing all the way for the first day of the Boost Mobile Pro presented by Hurley, which kicked off today in excellent conditions at Trestles in San Clemente, California. 
What appeared to be your average day at the beach turned into a massive attack of beach clean-ups and fun all over the world June 21st, 2006. With trash bags in hand and surfboards on the side, surfers and friends alike took to the beaches to declare an unofficial International Surfing Day.
